Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that polio will be eradicated.
According to details, a meeting of the National Anti-Polio Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Briefing the meeting, it was said that access to all children for polio vaccination is a major challenge.
Giving a briefing, it was further said that due to the efforts of the government, the number of polio cases has come down and only one polio case has been reported this year.
Presiding over the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that a full-fledged campaign was being launched across the country.
Imran Khan also said that the government has formulated a comprehensive national emergency action plan to eradicate polio.
Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that the anti-polio campaign is being jointly carried out by the federal and provincial governments and polio will be eradicated.
It should be noted that thanks to the efforts of the present government, only one polio case has been reported in the country so far this year. However, access to all children is a major challenge for which a full-fledged campaign has been launched.
The government has developed a comprehensive national emergency action plan for polio eradication, which is being implemented jointly by the federal and provincial governments.
