MADRID, 14 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Queen Elizabeth II received this Sunday the President of the United States, Joe Biden, along with his wife, Jill, at Windsor Castle at the end of the meeting of G7 leaders that the United Kingdom has hosted.
After the meeting, Biden declared that he found her to be an “extremely kind” woman and that she reminded him of his mother, as well as that they had “a great talk,” according to CNN.
Likewise, Biden has indicated that Elizabeth II has asked about the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and the Chinese Xi Jinping, and that he has invited the queen to the White House.
This is the first personal meeting with an international president since the start of the coronavirus pandemic by the Queen of the United Kingdom, as well as one of her first public engagements since Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, died last month of April.
